SteveElkins.jpg (57164 bytes)
The late Steve Elkins.  This photo was in the River City program the week Steve was honored as High Performance Printing's "High Performer" of the week. Steve had swept the Sportsman class by winning his heat, trophy dash, transfer and A-feature July 7, 1990.  The following week Steve showed this was no fluke, he finished 2nd in his heat, then won the trophy dash, transfer and A-feature. (Note from Terry Sanderson: Steve was a really nice guy as well as a fellow graduate of Crooked Oak High School in Oklahoma City.)

The River City A-Feature winners for July 14, 1990 were: Al Cravens-mini stock, Jim Farley-550 mini sprints, Scott Coffia-singles, Barry Diffendaffer-twins and Paul Adams-outlaw mini sprints.  The the long haul visitor for this week was Paul Caproni from Amarillo, Texas.
